Try Updating to 3.1.1 and see

Thank you for the suggestion. I downloaded the trial version of 3.1.1 - Upon opening I got the same result - it lasted about three seconds before it crashed -

this is not the crash report but just a picture of the beginning of the crash report…

This is a crash in the MQA device detection library.
Do you have a MQA DAC?
If not you may want to disable the MQA devices automated detection.
BTW, can you send me the full text of the crash report (by PM or email)?
If you can’t disable this option as it crashes at startup, you can delete the preferences file: com.audirvana.audirvana-plus.plist
It is located in ~/Library/Preferences
To access ~/Library with the Finder, you can use its Go menu while pressing the option (or alt) key. This reveals the Library command in this Go menu.
Be sure to reboot before launching Audirvana Plus again.

Hi,

I’m running a registered 3.1.1 version having updated last night. Was please to see my various Squeezeboxes appearing in the Select list so chose my Touch and A3+ crashed immediatley. Restart fails and I’m stuck in a crash loop. Only way out seems to be to install v3.0 and the apply the 3.1.1 update and avoid selecting anything other than my DAC’s.

There’s no file in Library/Preferences to remove.

Happy to provide the crash report if that helps.

Here’s a snippet of the stack trace…

NB/I’m not using MQA option

it is in your Home Folder… Library… for the preferences… not the System Library or the main Library

Thanks for the help - the “secret” solution was to delete Audirvana prefs from my home library, re-enter my code, and I’m back up and running.

Thanks for steer re Library…obvious really.

Ok, zapped the pref file, rebooted, entered key and up and running again.

However, it still doesn’t let me choose DSD512 and it still crashes instantly when I choose any upnp device listed so no real progress.

For DSD512… read this guy comment:
https://www.computeraudiophile.com/forums/topic/27992-macmini-setup-for-dsd256-dsd512/?do=findComment&comment=541092

for the other point, i just use a direct connection from Mac Mini to USB hard drive already APFS formatted for High Sierra coming. Can’t help

With 3.1.1 crashes, del .plist from ~/Library/Preferences helped me too…
update. but for two hours. next deletion with no any effect :open_mouth:

Can you update to 3.1.2 I’ve just released, and try again?

it’s works.

Hi, I have a problem with 3.1.2 version, I find my device on audio system ( Micromega M one ) but player start only one second and stop with noise and no music. it is the same with qobuz but with no noise. And now, I don’t find anymore my device in airplay.
I didn’t find file: com.audirvana.audirvana-plus.plist, I find only file with com.apple…plist. Is someone can help me please ?

Apple hide the Home Folder in User Library at some time depending on OS System… When you have clicked your Home Folder, and cannot see the Library Folder in there, just do a ‘‘cmd J’’ to show the folder settings preferences and see at the bottom… click Show Library Folder and then you’ll have access to the rest forever.

Go to User… Home Folder… Library… Preferences…
trash com.audirvana.Audirvana-Plus.plist in that folder (those are A+ software preferences)

@RunHomeSlow : Thank you very much, I will try this !

I found this folder and trash it, reboot the computer then re-enter the key for audirvana but I have got the same problem noise and no music…

If you want you can try starting like new… and see if it cure your bug:

maybe you have try also to unplug your DAC, stop A+ restart MAC, Restart A+, plug your DAC…

Start fresh A+ by deleting those files…

If you have Playlists that are important export them first to desktop and
save them in a folder… when A+ is reset, you can re-import them back.
sadly to this day, the folders they were in is not back, you have to do it again…

Before doing this, maybe you should not connect after deleting those files to Roon or others…
Install A+ alone with your database… if working, log to Roon or else after

Apple hide the Home Folder in User Library at some time depending on OS System… When you have clicked your Home Folder, and cannot see the Library Folder in there, just do a ‘‘cmd J’’ to show the folder settings preferences and see at the bottom… click Show Library Folder and then you’ll have access to the rest forever.

Starting for new A+:
Go to the Main Library Folder… PrivilegedHelperTools folder…
Trash All the files in that folder from A+ (that folder install SysOptimizer)
Go to the Main Library Folder… LaunchDaemons Folder…
Trash All the files in that folder from A+ (SystemOptimizer and prefs files)
Go to User… Home Folder… Library… Applications Support… Audirvana Folder…
Trash All the files in that folder (that is your database of music, back it up!)
Go to User… Home Folder… Library… Preferences…
trash com.audirvana.Audirvana-Plus.plist in that folder (those are A+ software preferences)
Go to User… Home Folder… Library… Caches… com.audirvana.Audirvana-Plus
trash the files in that folder

Restart MAC. This will reset pretty much Audirvana like new.

When choosing library at first it will sync in top right main window under the logo…
LET IT GO, even better don’t try to adjust windows or edit files, even playing music
while it is not finished… you’ll see the progress bar going… Could be long the first time
depending on how large your library is, and MAC is fast or not…
