I have been using AO up to now. Can I load the AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite library files from AO into AS (trial version) to populate the library. If so, how?
Hi @rafs,
When you switch from Audirvāna Origin to Audirvāna Studio or vice versa, the software will use the same sqlite file as the previous version you launched. You won’t get two sqlite files.
OK, thanks…that’s interesting. In my experience with Origin and Studio, however, the libraries in each case do not display as identical. I have completely cleaned up my AO library, meaning that I have fixed any tagging glitches such as missing artwork, single track files being listed under ‘Music’ (Artist) and usually listed as ‘Temporary Convert File’. All these I have corrected in AO so the library is now 100% accurate and up-to-date. If it’s the same sqlite file for AS, wouldn’t all those changes show up in AS? Yet, opening AS shows all the tagging glitches still present in the library there (all that I have painstakingly corrected in AO). Also, the favorites are not copied over from AO to AS. This is why I asked the question about copying the sqlite files into AS…so that the AS library would look the same (100% accurate)
Can you send some screenshots of this behavior?
Top one is AO; bottom one is AS. Same sqlite database but displaying different data for ‘Last Played’ and ‘Favorites’
I see, I forgot to mention it’s shared if you are putting it in this folder for Windows users (it’s by default shared on macOS):
C:\Users[your login]\AppData\Local\Audirvana\Audirvana
to show AppData folder:
OK, I see, I have been using the Audirvana location found under ‘Packages’:
In trying to set up the path mentioned below, I do not see Audirvana listed under ‘Local’. Qobuz, yes, but Audirvana no. I have ‘Show hidden items’ ticked.
C:\Users[your login]\AppData\Local\Audirvana\Audirvana
UPDATE: I found it here (and it works!):
C:\Users\user(or your user name)\Desktop\Audirvana
Now, AO and AS are in sync while I decide whether to continue with Origin or ‘upgrade’ to Studio (an upgrade that opens up the possibility of using Qobuz plus having ready access to radio stations)
HOWEVER…Studio (not Origin) still keeps getting stuck when I try to update 'Rating" from an outside source. As I mentioned in another post, it doesn’t want to close and it takes several tries to make it reload.
I will try again to reproduce this with Jriver on Windows and will come back to you about it as soon as possible.
