Android version available

I just received an email notification & downloaded the Android remote for AS. It connected easily & seems to work perfectly! Excellent job!

But Remote Audirvana for Android only works as long as I run it on remote play. Instantly the Android app crashes!
Can anyone advise me what can be done about it? Any idea or help? Well thank you

I know it’s not AS remote issue, but can anybody recommend an android app that stops screen timeout kicking in? My Galaxy tablet has a maximum of 10 mins before screen saver kicks in which is useless, lucky to get 3 songs played in that time!!
(songs dont stop thankfully, just screen goes black)

There’s an app called Caffine that does that.

Hi thanks for the tip. Installed it, instructions minimal and lacking in info. I did a search on Google, some people said to drag the app into quick settings so did this and set to on and selected “infinite”. However it didn’t work because screen saver came on. Do you use it, if so can you give me some advice? I’m trying it on a Galaxy Tab S5e

Sorry, I don’t use the app. There was a process to get it working, I will try to find a link.

Thanks, but these don’t work either unfortunately. I tried them both last night. Don’t see why this should be the case, but maybe some of these apps including Caffine only work on certain phones and tablets.
I’ll keep searching.

Wakey works fine on my Samsung tablet and phone.

Interesting, did you just do they same steps as me in post no 5?

Caffine instructions: https://caffeine.zhs.moe/guide/#adding-caffeine-tile

After adding the Caffine icon into quick settings, drag it to a suitable spot that can easily be accessed. Then tap to turn on the feature - as you would for the torch for instance. When running, you have the coffee cup icon in notifications at the top of the screen. I’ve just run a whole album with the remote screen on.

Thanks for info but had tried this previously, still not working for me. This is on my Samsung tablet. I thought I’d give it a go on my Galaxy S20 phone but can’t even see the app in Play Store, I even tried typing the developers name! Did you run on a phone or tablet?

Thanks, but don’t want anything with ads.

Google play store search for “Audirvana”. It comes first in the list. I’m running it on a Pixel 5.

It’s Caffeine I want to find when I search on Play store on my phone, I already have AS remote. I can find Caffeine on my Tablet in the Play store so seems weird I can’t find it on phone. You seem to be saying you have Caffeine on your phone in your 2nd last post.

Apologies, yes Caffine app. Search Caffine in the play store, it’s the product by “Hansong Zhang”. Green icon with white coffee cup.

Yep, as I have said above in previous posts I have already tried this. I just didn’t refer to Hansong Zhang by name, I called him the developer.

If you can’t find the app, maybe your location is affecting your Playstore access. I’m not sure how I can help. I’m in the UK & using a UK VPN location. My indicated location is London.

I’m in UK as well. Maybe apps can be restricted depending on phone type, nothing would surprise me these day. Thanks for trying to help.

I found this which may help. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/what-to-do-if-google-play-store-will-not-load-or-download-apps/
