Audirvana 3.5.50 - DSD not working anymore

I own an Auralic Vega DAC with firmware 2.0, It has performed exceptionally well with Audirvana during many years. In fact, despite testing more modern DACs, I have continued to use it as my primary device.

Occasionally, when switching from PCM to DSD, I would hear some noise, but it was never a significant issue.

This morning, I spent quite some time listening to music (FLAC files), but when I tried to play DSD tracks (both 64 and 128), the DAC only produced white noise. When switching back to FLAC files, the issue disappeared.

I have already tried resetting the DAC from the panel, turning it off and back on, restarting the software, and testing both DoP 1.0 and 1.1, but none of these actions have resolved the issue.

I am using Audirvana 3.5.50 on a Mac with Catalina, and I have not updated the software in quite some time since everything was working perfectly until this morning.

Could there be a possible cause I am overlooking, or might this be a hardware-related issue?

Any suggestions to help resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to deactivate those options?

What options are you referring to?
Some of them are disabled, while the other are set as always.

Yesterday, after spending the entire morning testing various things—swapping cables, trying different USB ports, adjusting settings, restarting the computer multiple times, and even resetting the DAC—all to no avail, I decided to disconnect the DAC and plug it into my main computer in my home office, where I also have Audirvana installed.

To my relief, it immediately played SACD ISO files without any issues, confirming that the problem was not due to a DAC hardware failure.

I then moved the DAC back to my listening room, reconnected it to the Mac Mini without changing anything, and DSD worked as it always had.

I have no idea what could have caused the issue, especially since, using the same settings and cable, the inexpensive Topping DX1 DAC I use with my laptop played SACD ISO files through DoP 1.1 without any problems.

I’ll keep monitoring the situation this week and will post any updates if anything changes.

Restarting and Shutdown are two different actions… I generally Shutdown my Mac if things get weird.
