I am running Audirvāna Studio on aniMac, connected to. PS Audio Direct Stream DAC. The sound is great but I am continuing to have troubles with Audirvāna dropping out. Today I tried playing music from my local disk, from Qobuz and Tidal as well as Radio Paradise that I listen to a lot. However on all these sources Audirvāna would drop out before the first track had completed. I have had some advice a few weeks ago from Audirvāna but this hasn’t resolved my issue. I also have Roon which does not drop out. I prefer the Audirvāna sound but don’t want to keep using it if it keeps needing to be re started. Does anybody else have a similar issue?

I have just been playing some albums from both Tidal and Qobuz and they stop after a couple of minutes.
I have also upgraded to 2.2.3. It’s very frustrating.

Your device states it is gapless, can you remove the Universal Gapless playback you activated in the audio output settings if Audirvāna and try to reproduce your issue?
Also reduce the pre-load cache to 4000MB.
I have tried the suggestions provided above and while there has been some success, when I change from Radio to my local albums and then to Qobuz or Tidal I am getting only one track of an album plying then it stops. I have attached a debug report taken just after the last stoppage from a Qobuz playlist.

What happens when you connect a USB cable direct to the PS Audio DAC?
Your pre-load buffer is 50% of your available RAM… try reducing it until you get good results…
The Microsoft Teams Audio application is still a wild-card…
What is you network system component architecture (router, switches, etc)?
Also the Direct Stream DAC is DSD capable via DoP 1.1…

Thanks for the ideas. I cant connect the iMac which runs my Audiravana to the DAC via USB given they are located in different rooms of my house.
Im not sure what you mean about the Microsoft Teams Audio app or what i can do about it.
I am running an Ethernet network with CAT 6 cables and 1gb Netgear switches. Roon works fine over this set up.
I have changed the Native DSD setting to DoP 1.1 but I cannot find where I change the DAC to a Stereo Only. It’s probably obvious but I have looked through the Audio section controls without finding it. Can you point me in the right direction.

It’s a live teams streaming application… try removing it…
I don’t know why this is getting reported this way… the Direct Stream DAC is only two-channel… Yes? Could be something to do with UPnP… This is automatically set in Audirvana or in Audio MIDI Setup which should reflect the DAC as having two channels.
Try adding additional time for sample-rate change found in the DAC settings menu.

I have changed the sample rate setting to 2 seconds and Radio Paradise has played without dropping out for over an hour. However, when playing an album from Qobuz, Tidal or my Local albums it stops after the first track. I have deleted Microsoft Teams, so the Audio component of the app should no longer be present.

I see you have too many UPnP devices on your network(I’ve counted 3 from your logs). For correct results you need to allow only your source and destination UPnP servers running: the streamer and your dac, the rest should allow for UPnP turn off. Also please check your router under WAN settings and turn off UPnP there too. Therefore as solution I suggest you turn one of the devices off + router check for UPnP and disable.
Chances are this is your issue.

I have turned off the router UPnP but can’t find out how to turn off the Sony TV one. I’m playing albums now and it is playing the full album and also Radio Paradise appears to be continuing to play. Fingers crossed the problem has gone since I way prefer Audirvāna to Roon for sound quality
