Audirvana DSD iPurifier3

Hi to all,

I have a problem with a Mac mini (late 2012), playing DSD via DSDoP to a Topping E70, but only when my iPurifier3 is connected to the DAC.
When I connect the iPurifier3, the DAC shows PCM 170 kHz, and no sound is playing, When I connect it directly, without the iPurifier it works.
Also it works with the iPurifier3 connected with PCM files and when DSD is converted to PCM.
Playing my iPad with the purifier connected it manages to play DSD files and it shows it on the display.
When I bought the iPurifier3 it worked. I had to reinstall Audirvana, and after that it stoped working with the iPurifier 3.
I tried I thing all king of adjustments but I did not manage to make it work.
Has somebody an idea? I am really desperate. At ifi they also don’t have a clue.

It seems the E70 is stuck at 176.4khz…


The E70 does not correctly reflect the DSD256 signal, it is reflecting DSD64…

…And isound comes out: It shows *2.8Mhz DSD

Try resetting the E70 to factory defaults and install the latest firmware… Also, when you get this sorted-out, I suggest increasing the playback buffer memory to 6GB.

But why only with iPurifier3 on? Without it it works perfectly!

Is it?.. The debug info you posted shows the active sample-rate as 176.4kHz in both cases… And you stated the DAC shows 2.8MHz DSD which is DSD64, when you stated that you were playing DSD256 which is 11.2MHz

Sorry it was in fact a dsd64 file.

It still does not work:(

Hi to all. A storage thing happened. I tried to change DSDoPCM from version 1.1 to 1.0 and suddenly it worked. The storage thing is that I changed it back and then it still worked. So the solution is to change it to 1.0, play something and then put the setting back. Why could this be?
