Audirvana not discovering Sonos Connect UPnP renderer

JRiver Media Center lists my Sonos Connect as UPnP / DLNA renderer and can stream to it. Audirvana does not list the Sonos connect, but does detect other available renderers on my network. The Debug Log does not include information about the UPnP discovery process - it only shows information on the currently selected output device or renderer. Is there a way to get a full startup log to see if it finds but rejects the Sonos Connect renderer?

Hello @erich256, are you using Windows 10 or MacOs?

Sonos is not really (fully) UPnP/DLNA compliant. JRiver just went one step further to support Sonos devices because of the popularity.

If you’re on the Mac you can use AirPlay instead.

I am on MacOs - 10.14.6.

Ahh - that makes sense that JRiver had some special code in there. I don’t know if AirPlay will help me - I don’t think the Sonos Connect is AirPlay enabled (older model). Thanks for the answers!

Will Audirvana ever put in the special code to allow me to stream to my Sonos?

Thanks,

Not likely but you can use AirPlay to stream to it.
