Audirvana not launching after install

Hi all,

Just installed the trial version on my Audio PC (WIndows 10 Family N), but I can’t manage to open Audirvana. The installation goes well, but when I click on it nothing happens…

Any idea about what could block it ? My Audio PC has only a few Apps installed:

  • Edge, Jplay, Driver for my Khadas DAC, and Audirvana…

Merci !
Miky

Hello @Miky,

Can you open task manager before you try to open Audirvana to see what is happening?

Damien,

The only line displayed in the Task Manager is the Error Report tool for a few seconds. Here is the report:

Can you install this pack and try to open Audirvana again?

Hi Damien.

Ok launching issue fixed, thanks for that. But now I’ve got another one: when I open Audirvana and do nothing then my CPU is fine at 15% usage. However as soon as I launch playback (Tidal stream) my CPU goes right up to 90% (even with no upsampling function activated) and stays this way until end of playback.
My machine is a MSI mini PC (Celeron N4000, 8G RAM). Can you help again please ?

Can you deactivate JPLAY before you try to play a song?

Hi

I deactivated JPLAY: no change.
I did fix the issue though, but not on purpose !!! I decided to clean up my Audio PC (with a 3rd party desintallation App) from any ‘optional apps’ in Windows such as ‘Photos’, ‘Alarm & Clock’ or ‘Phone’ and after that Audirvana is now asking no more than 10% of my CPU even during playback…
So it is very weird and I have no idea about what Windows App was leading to this excessice CPU usage once play back was launched but… here we go ! PC mysteries…

Well… sadly the issue is back today…
The same again: CPU goes right up to 90% as soon as I play a track, help !

Can you open the task manager before you open Audirvana to see the CPU usage and check what is going on when you play a track in Audirvana.

… and today it is OK again, I’m puzzled !

Without Audirvana the CPU is at 15% in Task Manager.
With Audirvana on but no play back: the same (whether the issue is here or not)
When I launch playback: Audirvana takes 10-15% of CPU today (so OK), but yesterday (and 2 days ago) it went straight to 90%…

Sorry. I did not read all the posts
