Audirvana not sending 'Album Artist' tag to last.fm

Audirvana’s last.fm integration is mostly spot-on, except for just one thing - it does not send the ‘album artist’ tag when scrobbling, but always sends the track artist instead. This causes a mess on last.fm regarding what albums/compilations you’ve listened to, as you end up with the same one but for multiple artists and not, say, under the umbrella ‘Various Artists’ tag or if the compiler is known, their alias instead.

I have last.fm Pro so I can work around this on last.fm itself by instructing it to automatically correct these tags, but I would much prefer if Audirvana simply sent the album artist tag with the scrobble.

Hi @Nia,

Do you have an example so I can reproduce the issue on my side?

Play a music file that has track artist, album artist, track title and album title filled in. Set the album artist to ‘Various Artists’, and keep the other tags different. Wait for the track to finish playing and is then added to the ‘recent tracks’ list, not ‘scrobbling now’. Once the track has finished playing and the track is added to the list on your profile, if you click the album icon on the left hand side, it’ll show it was scrobbled as the track artist and not as ‘Various Artists’ as it should be - foobar2000’s plugin will scrobble the track as ‘Various Artists’.

Ignore the ‘scrobbling now’ tags as those show up incorrectly with foobar2000 as well and I assume that’s just something with last.fm.
