Audirvana stops end of first track UPnP: KEF LSX

Hello,

I have exactly the same problems as Tomah. Indeed, when using Bubble UPnP or mconnect, the same thing happens. From time to time the music stop at the end of one track. I also have just noticed today that everything is back to normal when I shutdowdown and start again the KEF LSX.

I had contacted BubbleUPnp support, and they had told me that this issue was known to them. They also thought that it was a KEF LSX issue.

KEF support just suggested me to make sure that I had the latest software version and that connections were OK. They don’t seem to be aware of the problem (or don’t wan’t to acknowledge that there is one).

After many tests and trials, I concluded to a KEF issue.
While attempting to contact KEF support, I had no answer.
Now, I use those speakers with direct cabled connections only.
For sure:

  1. I will never invest in KEF products anymore.
  2. Website testing those speaker (and delivering “5 stars”) did not rely on WiFi nPnP through a durable experience
  3. KEF uPnP implementation is buggy
  4. KEF support is useless
  5. I lost a lof of money with this product

BTW, KEF did not deliver software updates in 2020.

Of course, I will be pleased to hear about any solution solving this issue.

I’ve been having the same problem with my LSX’s. This happened a couple months ago, and then it seemed to fix itself. Then today it started acting up again, first playing only one track at a time, then everything locked up. It would download a track from Qobuz, but wouldn’t play the track. I took the suggestion to unplug both LSX’s and quit and restart Audirvana. Now everything is up and running as it should again. Quick fix! Thanks Tomah!
