Audirvana won't play Tidal

I just purchased an Audirvana 3.5 license. I can’t get Tidal tracks to play. When I press play on any Tidal track, it says “loading first track” but it never gets past that and never loads and plays. Also, I noticed that when I try to play a Tidal track from the remote app, it caused Audirvana itself to “quit unexpectedly”.

Otherwise it seems to play “local” files fine (though I note for some reason it often won’t play the first track in a playlist or album an instead starts on the second track; – and when you select a track in the middle of the playlist, it will play the track immediately below the track selected.)

I am running Audirvana on an iMac (21.5 inch mid 2011) with 2 Ghz Intel Core i5 with 8 GBs of RAM and a 500 BG hard drive. It is running macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6. It is connected via an ethernet connection to a PS Audio Direct Stream DAC with Network Bridge II. Again, it works fine with the local files (with the one odd thing I mentioned above, but won’t play Tidal.

What is the fix?

Have you tried to disconnect and reconnect your Tidal account?

Yes, I have done that several times. Tidal is working fine with my MConnect remore app and when I run Roon.

Also, I reinstalled Audirvana last and now it will not even play tracks in my local playlists. I will send debug info. It says that it is starting to play a track, but it never actually loads.

I am now able to play local files again, but still cannot play Tidal tracks. I get a message stating “loading first track” and then nothing happens. To play local files again, I have to quit Audirvana and then launch it again. I really need some suggestions because I really can’t use Audirvana if I can’t play Tidal. Please help.

I have the same problem. Qobuz works in Audirvana but not Tidal. I can’t play stuff from my Tidal Collection through Audirvana as nothing is showing up. When I search an Artist nothing shows up either. So why is Qobuz working and not Tidal? I have active accounts for both qobuz and Tidal. This is all getting extremely frustrating, particularly when both streaming services are working perfectly from their respective desktop apps on the very same Mac that I have Audirvana installed on! Please help?

Can you take a look at the mail you have registered in Audirvana settings in the Streaming section for Tidal? When you log to your Tidal account on their website, does it states you have an active subscription?
