Audirvāna won't sync to NAS

Windows version of Audirvana 3.5 will sync just fine to NAS. But Mac version of Audirvana Studio refuses to do so. Please help! MacOS 11.5.1. Mac mini 2018.

I posted about this issue weeks ago and got no response. Would someone please help me this time?

I have 6,000 albums. It syncs less than 1,000 and stops. The only way I can get it to “see” the other folders is to open them one at a time in Finder, wait for it to say “Syncing” and then finish, and then open up the next folder. Incredibly tedious.

I paid for a subscription and I hoped the latest 1.6 update would fix this, but it did not. If this can’t be fixed, I want my money back.

What kind NAS is it.
Is your share via SMB?
Do you know the SMB version number?

In the Control Panel → FIle services → SMB select “Advanced Setting” and set the “Minimum SMB protocol” to “SMB2”.

Done. Now the synced number of albums is up to 930, one more before I increased the SMB minimum to v2. But it sticks there and does not sync any additional albums.

Try to unmount and remount the NAS share on your Mac.

Then it’s something else. Check the folder names, maybe there are some special characters that Audirvana doesn’t like. There are threads about this in the community. Search a bit.

I have been going through my library and removing the characters that Audirvana doesn’t “like,” and haven’t made much progress. Funny how this program is so picky, while others like Roon have absolutely no problem with my library as-is. Just saying.
