Can't sign in to account for Origin trial

Having a frustrating time with account activation prior to downloading and installing Origin.

From the website I register for an account with my name and email address. I receive an email with a password only. I return to the website and try to login using my email address and the just received password. I get the message, “We can’t seem to find your account”. I try the “Forgot your password?” link. I enter my email address and click “send verification code”. I receive a verification code via email, enter it and click “verify code”. I get the message, “E-mail address verified. You can now continue.” I click “continue.” I receive the message, “An account could not be found for the provided user ID.”

I’ve gone through this process with two email addresses and have the same problem each time. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

In origin go to preferences, account setting and disconnect there, close origin, reopen and try to log in again and see if it ask for serial…
