Chromecast connection to Naim Mu-So does not work

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to connect my Mac to a Multiroom system (Naim Mu-So and Mu-So Qb) with Chromecast Bulit-in. Till now it doesn’t work. As far as i can see all settings (Naim App, Audirvana, …) to make it work are fine. So far I have not been able to find a solution, not even a comparable problem here in the forum. Maybe someone can help me.

In the selection of the output device, the Naim’s are also displayed. However, a connection is not possible. When i try to connect the devices the display shows “Playback blocks exclusive access to the audio output for optimal quality. Other applications are muted while this access is locked. Click on the lock icon to stop playback and release the audio output.” And then “Audirvāna has not received an incoming audio data request from the audio device over the network. Please check your computer’s firewall settings to ensure that Audirvāna is allowed to accept incoming network requests.” But here everything seems fine. The Naim’s are showing up in the network.

Instead i have noticed that in the Network Selection on the right below in the screenshot (German language and Naim devices) there is not the same display of a menu in my Audirvana interface like in another screenshot of a user where the Network selection is showing up.

Has anyone an idea? Thanks for your help.


Hi @sin,

Can you go in the Audirvāna settings and in the My account section? You will see a button ‘Start Log Session’, click on it and then reproduce your issue. After you reproduced it, click on ‘Stop Log Session’ and then send me the log file you can find by clicking on the button ‘Open Log Folder’ at support@audirvana.com
