Control of the Sound Output

I run Audirvana Studio on a Macbook. I find that when I play music using Audirvana through my Macbook speakers, and then try to switch to, for example, playing some Youtube video in Chrome, that Youtube will not play through the speakers. It seems that Audirvana does not want to release control of the sound card?

Ultimately a reboot allows Youtube to use the speakers, but is there an easier fix?

You have to release audio in Audirvana, not just pause music…

you have to click the little padlock on the bottom right of the main window, then other players will play after a minute…
