Would I be correct in saying that the analyser has been designed to work while in streaming mode and not when one is playing flies stored locally on a hard or solid state drive?

That’s not true, you can analyze streaming or local content with it. You only need an internet connection because we need to check that you are subscribed to get unlimited analyze in Studio.
