I made a few metadata annotations and re-synchronized my library. All of a sudden all my albums were displayed in duplicates (see attached picture).
In previous, Mac versions of AS, all it took to fix the problem was to delete the corresponding sql file in the applications library. Is there anything similar in the Linux version of AS?
Yes, there is; you can see where it is stored in the Local/Library section. However, I would like to reproduce this. How did you change the metadata? Did you use a third party software while Audirvāna was opened?
Indeed, I changed the metadata, that is artist sorting, in three album files in Yate (Yate | 2ManyRobots) and re-synced the library. The duplicates appear in the home menu, but not in the folder view.
I‘ll check the local/library folder later today and get back to you.
Good idea! Haven’t thought about hidden files. In Ubuntu the command ls -al should list the hidden files with a preceding dot. If I do this, I see two hidden files (?).
However, I wonder if I am in the right directory. The command pwd tells me I’m in a subdirectory of the home directory. Is it where the library section is?
Good to know that I am on the right track. However, when I want to switch from /home/paul/.local/share to the audirvana subdirectory, the computer tells me there‘s no such directory.
After moving to the directory (don’t remember if I had to be logged in as root), I had access to the .sqlite file. After removal, restart of my Mac and re-synchronization, the duplicates were successfully removed. Thanks for your help!
