It would be extremely useful for me to be able to have the Filter Editor access the Comment Tag. From what I see it cannot.
I’m a bit (a lot) puzzled Comment is not supported there. Or it is well hidden.
But I also don’t understand what to do with this first section under Filters Editor as the buttons are always greyed out,

Hi @ianstudio I promise I’m not stalking you, (I will reply to one other thread i’ve seen this morning
) however you should note that those filters are for Smart Playlists only. That is playlists that you have created by using the Filter Search Parameters from Local Files only. (Not manually created ones as we looked at yesterday)
As an example i selected a smart playlist created that just shows Albums @192 kHz.
Clicking on the funnel up the top brings you to the search parameters available, and as you can see there is a “Comment” option.
When you are in smart playlists the 3 Buttons that you are seeing as greyed out become available and set how the filters are implemented. Best to have a play with a smart playlist you create with a number of options and see how using each may effect your search.
I guess after you have seen what it does, it will put you in a better position to ask Audirvana to implement what it doesn’t do for you.
I don’t mind helpful stalkers
Who designed this thing ? Geeks and then they had graphic designers somewhat cover up the mess with pretty graphics ? They should have done it the other way around.
So we have Playlists, Folders and Smart Playlists. Those icons are so tiny you can barely make them out as being different. And whichever you click creates a Playlist titled Playlist (DUH !), clicking the Smart Playlist button should create a Playlist called Smart Playlist for a start, it is called user feedback so we know WT* we are doing.
This is bonkers, the UI is as messy as it looks good and clean at first, Very odd situation we have here. Very paradoxical.
That + sign next to My Playlists is basically a repeat of the first button of the three at the top to add to the confusion, a one-trick pony, why is it even there at all since it cannot create the other two types: Smart Playlist and Folder. The three at the top should be the only ones so as not to confuse the user. Half-assed redundancy is annoying in UIs.
There is also that + in a circle next to Music (Mac) which is inactive since you cannot create Apple Music Playlists from Audirvana, so that one needs to go as well.
T H A N X
@antoine These two + buttons should go, the first is useless since we already have that functionality at the top (first of the three buttons next to Editor) , only adds confusion, and the second is inactive and can do nothing so why is it even there ?!
