Google Play has removed the remote app?

Is there any ETA for when this problem with the playstore will be resolved?

Hi Antoine,

I don’t mean to sound like a moralistic educational parent here, but I think questions about the app are bound to return until the problem is actually really solved. To me this is not at this moment.

Bear in mind that if the Android device that is used is also meant for work for instance, that there may apply strict rules on wether or not downloads outside of the official Playstore are allowed. Let alone if people want to do so already themselves.

Therefore I don’t see it fit that the check :white_check_mark: for the solution is applied here. When the app is back, then you can do that is my opinion.

I agree. I don’t believe a work around is a solution, as some users cannot load apk files.

Good evening,

as it has been a week since the problem started, I wanted to know if there are any updates regarding the restoration of the App in the Google Playstore, or if you have an estimate of the restoration time.

Thank you.

Guys,
now not even the apk link from solution path above is available.
Half the time I want to use audirvana, it is not working.

edit:
@UltimaLegione yes, you are right. working fine now also for me. Thanks for mentioning it!

The *.apk is not a definitive solution, because on the tablet I use I cannot install apps outside of the official Google Playstore, but I just tried again to download the audirvana-5.0_70.apk and I was able to download it regularly.

The Audirvāna remote app would not launch and the message I received was that it was not authorized and to go to the Google apps store. I could not find the app in the store.

Hi @DghAZ

There is a problem with the app on the store and any installed app which @Antoine has reported they are trying to correct.

And this is from @Antoine

Exact same issue here:
“Application not licenced. Please download it from the Google Play Store.” Followed by “Item not found” (Audirvana Remote is no longer in the Google Play store". Without the remote application, Audirvana is useless. Is there a refund policy? Looks like I’ll need to switch to JRiver Media Center. Personally I’d much rather stick with Audirvana. But if it doesn’t work…

Cela fait une semaine que l’appli n’est plus disponible sur le Play store. C’est bien long… Déçu.

Hi everyone,

I’m really sorry about this situation; unfortunately, we are obliged to wait.

Google has not responded to our request yet; it seems many people are in the same situation as us and are waiting for a solution from them.

They give us minimal information, i.e., “wait for approval” on the ticket page, and nothing else, no ETA, no more information.

I have no idea about this. I will keep you posted on this as soon as possible.

The checkmark is there for people wanting a solution to access the remote app. Once the app is back in the Google Play Store, I will update the :white_check_mark: solution on this thread.

I know it’s a workaround, but at least we have one. Imagine if this happened with Apple on iOS; we would have no workaround except publishing the app on an alternative app store, which would require enabling Developer mode on the phone.

I downloaded the .apk file onto my tablet and it is working fine.

It’s what it is. I can understand why you choose to handle it this way, but maybe it’s a good idea to place the work around for the time being as a pinned post or something like that? Given the reactions from some users it isn’t very clear that the apk file is available to be downloaded outside the Play Store.

I changed the link so everyone can have more information about the installation of the APK

I just downloaded the .apk file and installed it on my android phone. That all went well. But when I open it, I get the attached error. My mac mini doesn’t have a firewall on and both my phone and mac-mini are connected to the same wi-fi.

Any suggestions to resolve the issue will be much appreciated.

Never mind. After a while, it asked me to resync the 8 digit code on my mac-mini screen. It didn’t use the one from my original remote install. Works fine now…
