Heavily distorted output

Using Origin on an old mac running Mojave. Have just over 7gb of ram allocated and a 2.9 i7 processor.
This is a dedicated macbook pro just for music playback.
Upsampling is turned off so cpu load and ram demands are miniscule.
I only play redbook cd rips and the occasional ‘hi-res’ file.
Seemingly randomly the audio will switch from being clean to heavily distorted.
Simply stopping a track and restarting clears it.

Any suggestions?

Reduce pre-load cache to 2GB.

Ok, tried that. Seemed to be ok but problem has returned today. Two tracks into an album and the instant the third track starts; distorted to hell. Pausing doesn’t fix it. Stopping and re-starting does…

Can you paste the debug info here?

UPnP not started

Try to disable the plug-in.

Well I guess I could but that’s my sole reason for using Audirvana. If I can’t use the plug in I may as well go back to using VLC…

Try just to figure out if that is what’s causing the problem.

Just a quick update. I disabled the option that allows you to adjust the plugin parameters on the fly. Have since played several albums from start to finish without a hitch!
