iTunes not visible in Audirvana

What am I doing wrong, please? I am a new user and am trying to link my iTunes library with A. I have been through most of the comments but still cannot see my main library. My library is on an external drive, which is linked to iTunes. I tried method 1, selected the folder on my external drive- /Volumes/iMac External/iTunes Media Folder

I also tried the second method. When doing the second method I can see my playlist (nothing in there) but there is still nothing in the library.
Must be something silly I am doing/ not doing.
