Noticed since update to Studio 2.5.1 that the last track in a play queue is never added to the playback history or has a registered play count added in the library.
It is not specific to particular tracks, all are registered as played normally if they are followed by another track in the queue. It is solely the last track in the queue.
This has occurred intermittently since Studio was launched but was typically a rare occurrence. Since the release of 2.5.1 this issue occurs with 100% repeatability in my case.
macOS Sonoma 14.0
Macbook Pro M2 Max 96GB RAM
AS 2.5.1
Anyone else seeing the same issue?
In the interim will revert to 2.4.0 I have on an old disk somewhere…
For clarity as per the original post the immediate issue with 2.5.1 of 100% failure to record the last track played in a queue is fixed.
The rare incidence of it occurring every 30 or so play queues is still there and has been since I first used AS. Occurred today, deliberately played one or two tracks in a queue to fully check 2.5.2 whilst working probably 30 or so times. On one occasion the last track in the queue failed to register in the playback history, this is despite the track playing correctly and the device being released at the end of queue. Think it is probably an issue of network transmission over UPnP to my KEF speakers. Seeing as my playback history and playcount total is a bit of a (stupid) obsession with me, I check this at the end of a queue and I replay the missed track and scrub to a few seconds before the end to give AS a second bite of the cherry which normally works… Not a big deal.
