I have been an Audirvana user for many years. I stopped for about 3 years (when Studio came out), then got a PC laptop and joined the Foobar2000 community. I’ve just now (doing a trial) come back with Origin on PC. I LOVE the sound of it. The functionality has bugs crashes sometimes, etc and I’ve been in touch with support about a couple issues. I’ve started trying out the library function (never did in the past). I can see its value. I have a large library (10s of TBs). I have been working on syncing it. It’s taking DAYS and renders the app fairly useless while I’m doing it. (PC is Windows 10, 6th gen I5 with 16g RAM). ’
I would like to see the following addition to the library function. I would like to see a “suspend sync” function added to the interface. In other words, If I’m synchronizing a folder or entire drive and it’s taking a long time, I want to simply suspend that operation until I’m done with my current listening session with the app… When it’s done listening, I can select “resume sync”. I tried something that was suggested a couple years ago in a thread where you shut down Audirvana, unmount syncing drive, restart Audirvana, then remount drive (in order to have access to the files) and it was supposed to NOT resume syncing but it does. (I also have sync on restart set off).
If I’m missing another solution, please reply with a solution.
Thanks!
