Linux client player options

Hello folks,

I’m currently on a Studio trial to evaluate if Audirvana will meet my needs.
Let me briefly go over my setup before asking my question:

I have a server hosting media files, for all intents and purposes running Debian 12. I have installed Studio on this server with no issues, it ingested my FLAC files with no issues either.

My main listening point right now is my workstation, running OpenSUSE, to which is connected a USB DAC/AMP.

At this point I’ve also installed Studio on the workstation and if I connect the remote app to Studio on my workstation I can play through the DAC, but I don’t have my local library…

So my question is: is it possible in some way to stream from an Audirvana Studio server to an Audirvana Studio Core Player on a different machine?
(ie. connect the remote app to my server and see the DAC on my workstation as an output device)
If not, what bit-perfect player on Linux is available to serve that purpose?

Thanks a lot for any pointers !

Yes. NFS: https://linuxconfig.org/how-to-configure-nfs-on-linux

Thanks, but accessing the audio files on my workstation’s Studio is not really what I’m after though.
The server is the machine that’s always on, it’s the one that will host Audirvana Studio in any case, since the workstation is bound to sometimes be off while I might want to use Audirvana to stream elsewhere.

I’m not willing to maintain the same library in two different instances of Studio.

Audirvana Core Player IS the server. So, if you want to stream from the server, you need to have a UPnP player on the workstation where you stream to. For instance MPD with a UPnP front-end: GitHub - triplem/upmpdcli: An UPnP front-end to MPD, the Music Player Daemon

Ah yes, that IS the kind of thing I was looking for! Thank you!

If there are other options in the same vein, I’m open to hear them!

I took the time to fiddle with this a bit this morning, it works EXACTLY like I wanted!
Thank you again for this excellent suggestion
