Linux Install - Radio Won't Work

New user trying out Audirvana with my Naim NDS.

After a few initial problems my local files and Qobuz content play fine with no major issues. However, I cant get any of the radio stations to work. It will try to play for a second and then stops followed occasionally be a distorted sound. The radio station stays on the mini-player screen but there’s no sound.

Anyone else experience this problem?

Can you please tell me the radio you tried to play?

Can you send us a copy of the "Debug Info“ when you have this issue? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>My account.

Can you please go into your audio output settings in Audirvāna Studio and enable those options before trying again to reproduce your issue?

Hi @Antoine

Have made those changes to the settings and things seem to have improved for some stations but not others. So stations such Radio Paradise and JB Radio2 as well as FIP (France) seem to be working OK although I only played each for a couple of minutes.

Some of the other stations such as BBC Radio 2 and Linn Radio won’t play at all. When I try these stations it also cause the Audirvana app to deselect my “NDS” from the Audio settings and select “HDA Intel HDMI - HDMI 0” from the local interfaces on my Linux box (i’m guessing that’s just my default audio device). I noticed immediately before it does this the output device says “error: no device selected”.

Indeed the NDS disappears from the audio settings section completely and needs a power off/on to recover. I captured the debug information again when this happened and have pasted below.

As I have Chromecast Audio device on my network I tried the same radio stations via Chromecast and although again only playing for a couple of minutes all the stations seemed to work ok?

Can you go into the Audirvāna settings and in the My Account section? You will see a ‘Start Log Session’ button; click on it and reproduce your issue. After you reproduce it, click 'Stop Log Session’ and send me the audirvana_studio.log file you can find by clicking the 'Open Log Folder’ button and send it at [email protected]?
