I have returned to Audirvana after a brief hiatus. I originally did the trial and ran into issues accessing the NAS were all the music is stored. As we all know they offer NAS DB access which I loaded for Synology.
The file was a bit confusing. It studio/Origin as the file. I guess that’s ok.
I expected after the purchased and install the update .13 to be able to direct the library to see the Audirvana DB in the NAS. It didn’t happen. It reloads the individual files through the MacOS server connection which was the way I connected during the trial.
I didn’t see in the instructions anywhere if I needed to make a shared directory on the NAS. That could be a issue.
What is my next step?
Thanks.
Hi @moneypit,
When you have Audirvāna Origin running on your NAS, when you open the Remote, can you select your NAS?
Hi Antoine,
Can I back up just a second please. Should the Audrivana DB be a shared file in the NAS?
Should I direct Origin to connect to the NAS via library-Audrivana database file path using the new Audrivana DB file in Synology NAS?
I have both Remote and Origin on my MacMini. When I open up remote it want’s so close Origin or it won’t open (sees two apps running) As of now I have not been able to see the DB when running remote.

You can point your Mac mini to use the database on your NAS but I don’t recommend doing this.
That’s normal, you can only connect Audirvāna Origin on one computer at the same time.
