Post from Antoine re “Lyrics in Audirvana” thread seems to suggest they are using a service to provide lyrics rather than reading metadata in the file. Only Audirvana knows…. Hopefully they answer……

And from the copyright information at the bottom of the lyrics pane in AS suggests they are using Musixmatch which does provide this service to partners.
