Recently migrated from Windows to Mac, I’m leaving Musicbee for Audirvana.
And what was my disappointment when I saw that Audirvana didn’t recognize the multi-genre tags I’ve manually assigned to each album in my library over time…
For a given track, I assign several genres, each separated by a “;”. Musicbee interpreted this sign as a genre separator, Audirvana isn’t so clever: multiple genres appear separated by a space, so instead of having several separate genres for a track (e.g. “electronic”, “synth” and ‘IDM’), I have a single long genre (“electronic synth IDM”) which appears as such in my genre list.
I guess Audirvana doesn’t read tags the same way Musicbee does, much to my chagrin given the time I’ve spent sorting my library…
Has anyone ever managed to read multi-genre tags in Audirvana?
