Noise between tracks

Hi All
Have Audirvana installed on a small windows 10 pc connected via usb to a dac.
I am using Tidal as supplier in master quality.
I am using Audirvana remotes on my ipads and samsung telephone. .
If I use Tidal directly from my pc everything sounds fine. As soon as I swith to Audirvana either via remote or controlled directly from the pc, there are loud cracks between tracks. It happens when playing a playlist and also when skipping tracks.

Any ideas?

Kenneth

Hello @Kenhaw,

Can you send me a copy of the “Debug Info”? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>General>Debug Info

Note: By clicking on the Debug Info button, Audirvana automatically copies all its content, all you have to do is paste it in response to this message

Can you try to play the same files using WASAPI instead of ASIO?

Tried that yesterday, no changes.

Can you try to change the frequency of the output using the sound settings of Windows 10 while you are in WASAPI? Do you hear a noise while you change the frequency in the settings?

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-other_settings-winpc/how-to-change-sound-control-panel-settings-in/5a70718b-7ecf-4547-a64a-22efda8da0c2

Changing output does not help and no noise while changing.
I have found out that the cracks occur every time the bitrate of the tracks change.

I didn’t noticed you activated this, can you try without it?

Tried that. Does not change anything.
Saw someone was told to upsample everything. Tried that, now upsampling all to 768 khz and no more cracks.
What does that do to quality of music?

You tell us, does it sound better or worse to you?
