I am trying to clean my music drives’ folders and would like to use Audirvana aid in my clean up, but if I dump a folder from a synced folder while Audirvana is open, it will start to rescan.
Is there any ability at all to turn off this function while I try to administer clean up?
Yes. In the settings, where you configured the link to the folder. You can select manual instead of auto.
Thanks for the response, but I do not see an option to make the process manual. There is no way to click on the “SYNC” if that make sense. Would I have to trash the syncs and rescan them entirely?
In the remote app, I see this:
If you toggle the Autoscan at each start, it will turn to manual.
I don’t know if you are using the Audirvana remote app or the desktop app.
On my Windows installation there is a ‘auto’ option.
Oh that interesting. I am using a desktop app for a Mac. But I can’t toggle off the SYNC. I’m at work right now but can provide a photo later. How did you set those folders up so that it allowed you a choice?
I just added the folders and did not do anything special with them. Be aware there are differences in the settings between Audirvana for Windows and for the Mac. It can be that the auto option is not available in the Mac settings.
Yeah, unfortunately, that’s kind of what I was thinking
Just close Audirvana while you do your clean up!
Why does it bother you that it refresh if you remove something,
just stop looking at the syncing bar
I would, but I had to uninstall Audirvana and when I reinstalled and synced it, there was a difference in number of tracks. Part of the reason I’m cleaning is to try to identify what’s missing
Found a Solution to this problem.
The user has to get tag editing software as a workaround. My personal favorite is Yate (Yate | 2ManyRobots) which will allow to trash or edit the synced folders, but not kickoff a sync
