Playback stops after two tracks, artwork and progress of first track not updated

Playback stops after two tracks, artwork and progress of first track not updated.

Windows; AS version 2.9.5; UPnP connected to Lyngdorf TDAI 1120

Please see error log below. Although initially it says “can’t find the device Lyngdorf TDAI-1120”, it does play the first two tracks (without updating artwork and progress bar after first track finishes).

I regularly find this message in the error logs “UPnP device tells but does not support raw PCM streams”, so I tried with following settings, to no avail

So folks can help the best possible, please paste your entire debug information report here… It is found here: Settings → My Account → Help → Debug info

Also please describe your UPnP network strategy/configuration.

Thank you for your reply and your support!

Due to limited technical knowledge I’m afraid I cannot describe my UPnP strategy/configuration in a meaningful way. It’s a Windows 11 PC connected via LAN to a Lyngdorf TDA-1120. Please feel free to ask more questions if necessary and I will try to reply.

How does your system behave when using ASIO?
:notes: :eye: :headphones: :eye: :notes:

Thank you for the suggestion. I switched to ASIO, everything looks fine, but it may take a while before the issue re-appears (on average once a week, with the system in use at least 8 hours every day).

I’m not sure which ASIO driver it is using.
Does windows come with a standard driver?

If it is not predictably repeatable, the behavior points to your network configuration being the source… If you are using Wi-Fi somewhere in the transmission line to the TDA-1120, this presents a potential for data interruptions due to interference from RF and other wireless devices and networks… If this behavior occurs during streaming of digital-audio files from a streaming service, you could be experiencing interrupts from network congestion and/or broadband bandwidth/speed limitations…

:notes: :eye: :headphones: :eye: :notes:

I realise my previous reply was not entirely accurate. The Lyngdorf does not have an ethernet connection and connects to the LAN through WiFi. So, WiFi will always be involved, by design. And yes, other devices use the same network. For now I keep my fingers crossed that the switch to ASIO will have some effect.
Thanks again for your assistance.

In this report you are using Kernal Streaming, not ASIO.

The TDAI-1120 has an Ethernet connection and this is the is the recommended set-up by Lyngdorf… You will always be at the mercy of the Wi-Fi signal quality and broadband throughput… Also, I suggest lowering your playback pre-load memory allocation to 4GB.

:notes: :eye: :headphones: :eye: :notes:

I switched to ASIO following your advise.
And indeed, the Lyngdorf has an Ethernet connection and is connected that way. I was told otherwise as I didn’t install it myself.
Will try the pre-load allocation as well. Thanks!

It may still be connected to a Wi-Fi extender that gets its signal via Wi-Fi from your router… this is not recommended… I suggest you verify the pathway to the DAC.

Is there any way to set priorities for devices on the LAN, as in a managed switch, to give the highest priority to the Lyngdorf?
