Problem »Error starting device playback« still present :-(

Hi there!

After upgrading my system (better laptop, Windows 11, better DAC), I am still bothered by that nasty »Unable to change to Integer Mode« problem … :see_no_evil:

»Kernel-Streaming« is my default setting, and when starting Audirvāna, I almost always get that »Unable to change to Integer Mode« message. What I usually do then is switching to »WASAPI«, start playback any song, stop that, and switch back to »Kernel-Streaming«. Which works from that moment on without any problems, as long as that given Audirvāna listening session may last. What sense does that make?

It makes sense, It’s probably kind of a initialisation that is not working properly. I will have to take a closer look about it as soon as possible.

I see. Nevertheless I’d appreciate it quite a lot if it won’t happen again.

Uh – seems I have to correct myself. The error message goes like:

»Error starting device playback«

OK – I seem to get both messages in a mysteriously mixed sequence. Today it maybe the Integer-Mode one, tomorrow the Device-Playback one

Nearly six weeks later (and with Studio 2.6.2 now) the problem is still alive and kicking …
