Ok… I’m using Rouge Sphinx V3 magnum and Magnepans with Rel Sub. Schiit Modi Dac. The question is When I’m using Audirvana with it the sound sometimes trips… I’m pretty sure this is not the correct term. Basically the sound on my left speaker would sometimes lower for just a split second and then goes back to normal. What should I check for? Just noticed this today.

that’s really strange, do you have this with every track you play?
no so far i’ve turned my system on for about 6 hours today, ive only heard it for about three times. I know its weird.
I have no idea whats causing it if its my new amp , my macbook or the audirvana soft wear. I also tried using my projector straight to the amp via hdmi then convert to rca no problem at all.
Check all of your analog connections to your amp and to the speakers… reseat them with contact enhancer… This is the most likely problem unless you have a problem with your amp…
Since it is just the left channel, test your speaker and power-amp for component failure related to power using test signals at different amplitudes… You can also test channel issues by swapping the inputs or speaker-outs…
You can trouble-shoot the DAC by monitoring it from a headphone amp and you can monitor the fundamental Audirvana playback through the Mac by connecting headphones directly to the headphone out…

If the amp and the connections from it to your speakers are not misbehaving, as your test with the projector appears to show, then the next thing I would try is playing from the computer through the DAC without Audirvāna - YouTube, a streaming service, or whatever other source material you like.
What this sounds most similar to that I have experienced is some other app (like a notification on the computer) trying to play a sound, but with Audirvāna locking the audio output it’s difficult to imagine this is what’s happening.
I am listening to Qobuz on Audirvãna Studio right now. Have been listening for about an hour. I experienced a similar drop on the left channel in volume in a track by Kitaro (Destiny, from Heaven and Earth) about 5 mins ago.
Tried to reproduce it, but not successful yet.
Checked if there were any messages from Windows, but there are not.
Note: Audirvãna at my place is installed on an old Dell laptop, and I always stream with UPnP to a Naim ND5 XS 2. I was listening over my Px8 headphones when I noticed the drop. It was as if the left channel was lower in volume ad somewhat muffled for a brief moment. I am in a new listening session now (9 pm CEST), but haven’t heard it yet again.
Have had no issues since during several listening sessions. I consider it to be a riddle of cyberspace.
