Remotely quit Audirvana Studio and shutdown headless Linux

Will this option from Audirvana Remote be available in the future?

You can already remotely stop Audirvana from playing. To quit the program altogether and shut down the operating system, there’s no need to include such capabilities in Audirvana itself, because ssh does that perfectly well. There are a number of ssh phone apps from which you can issue the necessary commands with ssh over your home network. (I like Termius; there are also WebSSH and ShellFish among others. Just pick the one that suits you.)

Do you need any assistance installing or using ssh? If so, what headless Linux are you running?

I know I can do it via SSH or Web, but it would be easier to just press a button in Audirvana Remote.

Until Audirvana does it, probably the easiest thing is to use Termius, which has an autocomplete feature and a conveniently located up arrow key that fetches previous commands, just like the up arrow key on the computer keyboard does when using the command line.

Then you can enter the commands to stop Audirvana and shut down the computer once, and simply use the up arrow key or autocomplete to enter them with a couple of taps whenever you need them.

Thank you for the helpful information.

I use GentooPlayer and it has a shutdown ‘button’.
However, this also requires running a service other than Audirvana Remote.
