Whatâs the story on this? Could this be part of the issue?
Could location be issue, you using vpn?
My system is completely hardwired⌠(Edit:) No VPN connections
The AUv3 architecture has been a part of the Audio Toolbox for at least one previous generation of macOS:
From the Apple Developers site:
The latest Audio Unit standard, AUv3, provides a robust plug-in model built on app extensions. This model provides several benefits to host apps, including greater security and stability, multiple view configurations, and support for shared user presets.
You can adopt the new API while still retaining your ability to host AUv2 audio units. The frameworkâs bridging layer enables this capability by automatically translating AUv3 calls into their AUv2 equivalents, which means you can use a single API and work with both new and legacy audio units.
And you can add me to the list as well. Switched between a few of my favourited tracks and the dreaded canât verify your license error and program quit on Windows. 1.10.0 version as it apparently canât find a more recent update when searching for one.
Have to check my Mac, but I fear the same will happen there. I guess itâs time to go back to 3.5 for now. Which I havenât used in months.
In my previous post I said it was a one time thing, but it still is happening. If I press OK on the message AS shuts down, I have to start it again, login again and my play queue is gone. Very annoying. As somebody else already mentioned: Do not release an update/bugfix on Friday evening and walk away in the weekend.
How do you get the plugin to work with DSD? I donât use headphones usually, but if I convert to DSD, none of my plugins work, or is it just Recline that works with DSD? Maybe because I have an older version Mac OS? If I then turn on macOS Audio Units v3 API in Studio settings, the plugins still do not work with DSD conversion from PCM.
You have to disable ârealtimeâ to use plugins for DSD. Or did you already?
I did that and it appears to not utilize the plugins? The test that I did to confirm this was to apply gain to one frequency and to completely minimize all other frequencies. It then plays the standard flat source file without the correction.
It could be the support for the Apple API is available in Studio as an on off switch, but my older OS 10.15.7 (19H1615) does not support this?
Same here, Windows 10
Although it continues to work as long as I donât click the ok button.
Agree completely with this. This should be fixed as a matter of urgency.
Has there even been a statement from Audirvana yet? If so I havenât seen it. You break every instance of your product out there and then donât comment on when relief will be provided or that youâre even aware? There should have been programmers being called in out of bed to fix this immediately. Totally unacceptable.
@Harvison has just reverted to 1.9. smoothly on his Apple computer using @RunHomeSlow dropbox link
https://community.audirvana.com/t/how-to-revert-to-1-9/31503/11
Just for clarity, is this only happening to people who have a single license and multiple installations (multiple computers)?
Also, has anyone posted a link to the 1.9 install file for Windows so a reversion can be attempted if needed?
I have only one device and the problem is here
Apple or windows? Rollback to 1.9 is easy on Apple
I have a single installation and I am running AS on Windows 11 and I have this problem too.
I did not see a link to the 1.9 install file for Windows yet.
OK, so it seems to be a universal issue with no specific installation / license parameters. Hopefully this info will help with the debugging efforts, so thanks for the responses!
Havenât tried my Mac yet, but the license issue is on my Windows laptop. I have 2 seperates subscriptions.
For the time being Iâve went back to 3.5 on both my computers. I have 2 licenses for that as well.
Hopefully someone will find a windows 1.9 install and share it. I only worry that windows wonât revert as smoothly. Donât want to lose favorites or playlist so do a backup via preferences
I still have Foobar2000 and Audirvana 3.5 installed. For me no need to revert. I am not without music this weekend
