I checked my Artist sorting: There are some tracks but not all, in which AS takes the Composer as the Artist.
@Antoine: Could it be, that the differentiation between Artist, Album Artist and Composer is not really accurate, when AS reads the ID3 tags and builds its library and also rebuilds it after changes of ID3 tags? This could be an explanation for the problems I mentioned here: Functional problems of AS.
The problem existed already in A 3.5
