Sound quality bluetooth

:notes: :eye: :headphones: :eye: :notes:
The OP stated they have a MR1 mkII system and alludes to a pair, as in using the term: “speakers”

They have some nice products, perhaps a clock radio and solder a cable up and run my 805D’s Stream some 128bps bootleg downloads, Good Times

Can it get any worse? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Yes, I have a pair of Ruark MR1 mkII speakers

I took contact with Ruark support and they told me for best sound quality it would be
1- external DAC and Toslink best sound .
2- Direct wire with 3,5 jack from mac to speakers.
3- Bluetooth; is getting better, but still compresses the files.
I will try this WE the 3,5 and the bluetooth solution to see if I can hear a difference, before thinking if its worse buying a DAC…
Keep you informed, Thanks a lot.

There are 2 speakers, stereo setup.

I have Toslinked my M1 MacBook Pro to my good old Philips receiver through my good old Audiotrak sound card. Which acts as DAC. It sounds so much better compared to hooking up the Mac directly through its headphone output.

Not sure if this model is still available. But you could look for something similar

I have a Ruark DAB radio, just the one, the sound is pretty damn good, plenty of bottom, pretty loud too.
