SysOptimizer needs to be reinstalled at every startup (MacOS)

Dear Audirvana Community,

After trying out Roon, I would like to return to using Audirvana Studio. Unfortunately, Audirvana prompts me to reinstall SysOptimizer every time I start the program. Is this a known issue, and how can I resolve it?

Thank you for your help and best regards,

Dominik

Hi @domiji,

When you click install and restart the software, does the prompt comes back?

If it’s the case, to fix this permission issue, you can use the Terminal application (you can find it in Application>Utilities) and enter the following commands:

sudo chgrp wheel /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools

sudo chmod 1755 /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools

If it’s still not working can you close Audirvana and do the three commands below in Terminal ?

sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.audirvana.SysOptimizerTool.plist

sudo rm /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.audirvana.SysOptimizerTool

sudo rm /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.audirvana.SysOptimizerTool.plist

After doing this, can you open Audirvana and play a track?

I tried all this and upon launching Audirvana Studio it still shows the ‘Needs to install SysOptimizer’

You tried to close Audirvana, and remove those 2 files from the Library ?

Restart Mac, then open Audirvana and play a song…
it will ask to install SysOpt again, then see…
