Unable to connect to my NAS

 ello,

I can’t get my remote app to connect to my NAS. I’m using Fedora 41 server as distro on this NAS.
The service is running

riitchy@tiamat ~> sudo systemctl status audirvanaStudio.service

One the remote app on my iPhone, I see the name fo my NAS appearing, but when I tap on it nothing happens. Actually I see a little load icon on the right of my NAS’ name, but it doesn’t connect.
I opened the 44197 port in firewall-cmd, so I don’t understand.

Maybe anybody can help ? TIA

What do you mean by this cryptic message? Can you post a screenshot of where you see it?

With Linux, you need to mount the NAS through SMB (CIFS in Linux language). See: How to create a Samba share :: Fedora Docs

When you do, you create a mounting point, which acts like a local folder on Fedora. You need to add that local folder to Audirvana in the settings > local tab of the Remote App.

Here

Maybe I didn’t understand correctly what Audirvana for linux does, I thought I would be able to play my music stored on the NAS, by running Audirvana linux on it, and accessing it through Audirvana remote…

Ok, it is a NAS running Fedora, that I misunderstood .

Yes, that should work.

Hi @jmtennapel, I also have trouble with Audirvana Remote on iOS getting ‘stuck’ on the selection screen. I see you have Audirvana running on your macbook and your NAS, so try the following: select ‘macbook’ and (hopefully) connect; then in the Remote app select the Settings icon and swap the connection to ‘tiamat’. That works for me.

Nope, it doesn’t work… Maybe selinux is blocking

If available, try running Audirvana Remote on an Android device. For me, this problem only occurs with Remote on iOS. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
