UPnP Initialisation Error -203 UPNP_E_SOCKET_BIND

UPnP Stack Error version 3.5.19
Just installed Audirvana and did the upgrade, and now find version 3.5.19 generates a stack error.

And my Network is marked with a RED Explanation mark.
Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone had an answer to this - I have the same issue.

I have tried disabling all other uPNP services.

I should also mention that I use a Netgear Nighthawk X6S Tri-Band WiFi Mesh Extender

Hello @gjhodgson and @roberth5, you are not using the latest version of Audirvana. Can you update your Audirvana to the latest version 3.5.28 (Audirvana Settings>Generel>Check for Updates) and tell us if you still have the issue? Make sure you don’t have other application that would use UPnP at the same time of Audirvana when you’ll run your test.

I had the same issue with 3.5.28. Just to confirm, this error relates to other uPNP services already running - so therefore I sould see if anything else is running?

J’ai Ă©galement le mĂȘme sujet depuis quelques versions. Je ne peux plus sĂ©lectionner la sortie UPNP (Devialet Phantom) mais j’ai un gros point d’exclamation rouge. A noter, quand je lance directement le player QOBUZ, je peux sans problĂšme choisir la sortie UPNP et diriger le son sur mes enceintes. Je vous joins Ă  toutes fins uties le debug info. UPnP not started

@gjhodgson and @pmevel , if you are using another service that is using the UPnP protocol then you’ll have this problem. If you look at your debug info you’ll see this: “UPnP not started” which means that there is another app using UPnP (in this case its the Qobuz app)

Pour en avoir le coeur net, je l’ai dĂ©sinstallĂ©e, Ă©teint l’ordinateur puis rallumĂ©. J’ai toujours le mĂȘme point d’exclamation ! Mais j’ai quand mĂȘme trouvĂ© la solution : j’ai supprimĂ© le fichier plist et j’ai relancĂ© l’application. Et lĂ  miracle, ça remarche ! MĂ©thode Ă  peut-ĂȘtre diffuser en anglais aux autre utilisateurs

What is the plist file and where can I find it (Mac)?

I have also undertake further studies - I can dual boot my MacBook so tried Audirvana on Windows 10. uPNP worked fine. So this tells me that it’s a problem with the Mac version of Audirvana on Catalina (latest release) as all of the network topology etc
 is otherwise identical.

Also, based on Audirvana running on Windows 10 I get very choppy playback (my only source is Tidal). Again this must be another software specific issue because I have no other problems with other playback software (e.g. Linn Kazoo). My network is >500MBps average (Netgear Orbi), so shouldn’t be an issue there.

I would like to get Audirvana working is I like the interface, but so far I have been unable to evaluate the sound quality. Happy to try again if there is a resolution.

Hello, here is how you can find the preferance (plist) file : you go on the icon of Audirvana in you app folder, make a right click and select the second option (in french "afficher le contenu du paquet). The finder opens a folder named “Contents”, open it and you will find a file named info.plist. Move it on the desktop, try to launch Audirvana. Then put back the info plist where it was, and launch Audirvana again. For me, it worked, and I could see all the devices that where reachable through UPNP Protocol. I hope this will do the trick for you ! Philippe

Thanks - didn’t work for me. I tried reinstalling the package as well.

I also have no ‘uPNP not started’ error in the log file.

Application error log is too large for me to paste in.

Guess I was lucky ! Sorry for you that it did’t work

Hello @pmevel, be careful with what you’ve done. You maybe find a workaround but this could damage Audirvana since you are touching to the core of the app.

Hello Damien ! I didn’t do anything critical, the plist file was just removed from the folder and putted back at the same place. I didn’t delete or modify it. And the good point whith Mac is that if you screw something, there is Time Machine 
 Anyway, it seems that this workaround worked only for me !

I Have 2 macbooks ( The two with catalina), one works perfectly but the other one i have the massage " 203 UPNP-E-Socket Bind "

Of course, i tried to close all the UPNP app on the others divices.
