Just purchased the licence for Audirvana Origin for £130 and wonder what does Play Next option is for when right clicking on a song?
Once selected that track will be the next track played.
Then the tracks are played in order from the track you were originally playing,
That other info was incorrect… apologies.
It happens on Studio and Origin.

Hi there, thanks a lot for taking your time and reply to my post, however it doesn’t seem to work that way for me.
Sometimes when I use the play next option the song is placed 3rd in the “play queue”, even so the it would still not be played as the 3rd song in that queue
a. So let’s say track 1 is already playing.
b. Click on track 5 to “play next”
End of track 1 then the next play will be 5.
Then it will be 2, 3, 4, etc.
You can test it by moving the icon to near end of track 1, track 5 will play, move to end of 5 and 2 will play.
At least that’s how my Origin and Studio work,.
By-the-way, I can’t see why anyone would use that but I suppose one might want not play track 2 maybe, but it still plays because the tracks in normal order so choosing 5 you will still get 2, 3, 4, 5 etc.

Hi Antonie, sorry for the delayed reply but belive it or not I had to hunt for this behaviour because it is very sporadic and I doubt my computer is hacked because it behaves the same even if I switch off the wifi, must be the OS and Audirvana
maybe because your playlist is being played already in random order…
try clicking on that sign then try your play next option and see…
But there are times when the Play Next option actually plays the next song even when random order is selected. Very inconsitent behaviour in my case to say the least

There’s something I missed in your video. When you play a track when shuffle is activated, can you please scroll to the top of the play queue?
I would like to see the current playing track. Once you see it, please try again to use Play Next and scroll all the way to the top of the play queue.

When I originally tried the “play next” it went all over the place after my chosen" next" and then I realised I had “shuffle” on… I don’t know how that was “on”… it must have been a random click I made.

I tried it doing another video just now and as I mentioned in one of the replies the behaviour is sporadic. Here is a the new video I made with the shuffle option on and the Play Next seems to work for now. I wonder why this behaviour?!

The issue is that it’s working as it should on my end; however, when you open the play queue, it fails to scroll to the playing track, which is really annoying. This needs a fix.
I think that after this issue has been fixed, the problem you encountered may no longer be there.
