Windows 2019 AS Studio not launching after 2.8.3 update

Prompted to update to 2.8.3 and after update no AS interface. Reboot Windows AS ( set as auto start up ) at log in no AS interface. Went to the folder and click the application no response. Unintalled and downloaded full version and installed again same. Uninstall 2.8.3 and found a 2.8.1 at download folder then install it AS interface appeared and working. Did couple of repeat of 2.8.3 and 2.8.1 yielded same result.
Previous versions from 2.4.x no such issue in same windows 2019 pc.

Same thing happened to me on a W10 server, except my previous version that I had to revert back to is 2.8.2.

At least I am not the only freak and not exclusive to Win2019.

It neither work anymore on Windows Server 2022.

Here too, 2.8.3 does not start on win server 2019. i have a one year abo.
so now it looks, that i can’t use it anymore, because i do not find 2.8.2
That version worked.
Audirvana proves for years to be unreliable and buggy.
please give me a download link for 2.8.2

Tried 2.8.4 update on W2019 and same issue. How about you?

Where is the 2.8.2 download link please? Went o the “UPnp …” link provided couldn’t find anything. 2.8.4 doesn’t work for me on W2019. Same issue and what’s worse now is after uninstalling 2.8.4 even 2.8.1 doesn’t start up every time at reboot (set at start up at windows boot up / restart).

I confirm 2.8.4 neither starts on Windows Server 2019/2022.

No troubles with 2.8.4 on my W10 PC here. Updated last night.
Wonder what could cause this problem for some other users, as the latest AS update should have solved the problem.

Windows Server versions are special cases on which it is not possible to install Audirvana unless you add a few files relating to Microsoft store. So, it’s possible that the problem isn’t necessarily the UPnP bug for these Server versions.

Good point. Thanks! Don’t really care as long as AS works like before. Hope Audirvana can work this out or suggest a work around.

Neither 2.8.3 or 2.8.4 will launch on my W10 Pro computer, version 22H2.

Strangely it updated to 2.8.3 no problem at my Win10 NUC… W2019 neither 2.8.3 or .4 worked.

I effectively think it could be the problem although there is no error message during the installation. The app installer is rather old. :wink:
Personally I 'm just using Windows Server 2022 just for some test not necessarily with Audirvana by the way.

Unfortunately, it’s not easy to update App Installer on these Windows Server as it is not officially supported by Microsoft. It’s quite impossible to find appropriate files to put into Windows Server.
