Has volume control been implemented in A+ for windows ? For example running a DAC with no volume control directly from A+ there is no way to control the volume. I have the mac A+ and you can control volume from the A+ software.

This will come in the 1.4 update, scheduled for January.
FYI, I’m going to release the 1.3 today that brings the VST3 plugins support.
Waiting for the 1.4 you can use any VST3 (free) plugin that provides a gain/volume control (e.g. any EQ one), and activate the realtime setup of the plugin.

I am using Windows Audirvana and the volume slider has no effect on my system (DAC/Pre/Amp). Any idea what’s up?

I am using Audirvana 3.5.3 on a Windows 10 PC.
Yesterday, I have switched on the volume control on the software, in order to set at 0db the volume level of my Classe 2200i network player/DAC/amplifier.
Both on my PC and on my IPad, the bar of the volume level of the software always shows max level.
As a result, when I want to change the volume, I have to put my finger where the bar is, ie max volume, and the sound instantly jumps to max volume (which is very dangerous for my speakers).
How can I solve this?
I would suggest too to add a « startup volume » to avoid any surprise.

Hello @zephyr58, before you put the volume control, did you put the volume of your DAC to the maximum level you want?
Yes, Damien, the volume level was at “0 db”.
But I am quite bothered today : I have tried to “replay” the trouble, and the software reaction is quite different:
- I have set the software max level at about 50% (it could be nice to have a more precise scale on the bar),
- I have set my Classe Amp/DAC at max level I have authorized, ie -25db.
Of course, the button “software volume control” is on.
But, when using Audirvana Remote on IPad, the volume on the screen of the Classe is moving : -45db (for instance), …up to -25 db (the maximum level I have authorized).
So, it seems that the volume of the DAC is still active.
Am I doing something wrong?
