Following on from the recent threads about the Processing Section of Studio disappearing it appears that it may not just be as easy as deleting the Preference Files, Deleting the Audirvāna Studio App and doing a new install.
Today I have had to close Audirvāna and when I reopened it, the processing section has disappeared from the Audio Page.
What is interesting, however is that on the remote on the iPad the processing section is still showing.
Further to that, when you run your debug report it states that Processing is in offline mode; and
That Upsampling is turned off, which it obviously isn’t giving it is still showing on both the Audio Page and the iPad page.
I’m assuming that there is definitely a bug at play in this latest update and would ask @Antoine if you could look at this ASAP.
In the meantime I have no intention of further ventures into preferences and deletions.
It’s working I think, it just seems to have an issue letting change settings on the MacBook Air.
iPad showing correct settings.
I just got through with a long listening session …
No problems for me on 2.9.4, M2 Max Mac Studio, macOS 15.1, playing 24/352.8kHz AIFF and 16/44.14kHz AIFF files → Redline Monitor HRTF Audio Units plug-in (good to 384kHz) → r8Brain modulating all PCM to 5.6MHz DSD as DoP 1.1 files to my DAC… All modules are displaying as expected…
Note: I don’t use real-time control, it is disabled.
@Agoldnear Real Time Control is disabled when upsampling to DSD, which I was doing at that time… anything in PCM realm real time is good.
The screenshot I posted in the OP is the crux of the matter. Firstly showing no processing section, even though the Can Opener was showing in the debug, and that the debug was showing that there was no upsampling, when clearly AS was upsampling to DSD256.
Nothing else is relevant in the debug report…
Problem is pretty clear and I think it is a safe bet that the person who does the programming and the upgrades is going to be probably the only one to fix it.
Other than that, it’s playing music, sounding great as always. I can change settings on the iPad or iPhone if I need and I’m quite happy to just leave it till @Antoine and staff have a look.
Thanks for your concern.
There is indeed a display issue on the macOS latest releases for the audio processing path in the settings.
This leads to hiding the processing step.
This happens only when displaying in large fonts mode.
You can either switch to normal fonts size (appearance page of the settings), or install one of the hot fix builds: Audirvāna Studio 2.9.4.1
