3.5 on Mac with monitored folders: "Manual, 2/..."

After doing some cleanup, removed all “monitored” folders. Re-added them and exited the app. After re-running the app, under monitored folders, it now shows “Manual, 2/…”. There’s no way to expand this field to see what its trying to “express” and am unable to find any documentation as what this may mean. After initially adding the folders, they all showed “AUTO” and “Sync” - at least until exiting and re-running the app.

Does anyone have an idea as to what this truncated message means?

Would suggest that any field where the information may exceed some pre-defined/expected width that the columns be re-sizable in order to display the entirety of the value. Would also be nice to have the ability to expose/see some sort of activity/debug log window so that nuanced issues are more visible to the user.

Thanks!

Hello @just_me,

Can you send us a copy of the “Debug Info” when you have this issue? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>General>Debug Info

Note: By clicking on the Debug Info button, Audirvana automatically copies all its content, all you have to do is paste it in response to this message

Below, its interesting that the folders show “manual”, but the slider for rescan network folders at each start is turned on. In fact, it was on when configuring the folders and was never turned off. The folders are NFS mounts via autofs - which is what has been utilized since installation of the app, without issue. In fact its the same mount point and same folders since day one of using the app.

Can you do a copy of your AudirvanaPlusDatabaseV2.sqlite file in a different folder and then remove the one you have in the default folder? After doing this, reopen Audirvāna and sync your folders again, do you still have your issue after doing this?

To go to it with the Finder:

  1. Open its Go menu

  2. Pressing the option (or alt) key, and maintain it pressed. This reveals the Library command in this Go menu.

  3. Click on this Library command

  4. In the Finder window that opens, navigate into Application Support, then Audirvana

  5. You’ll find there the file AudirvanaPlusDatabaseV2.sqlite

I’ll simply delete the file and let you know the outcome after re-adding the directories.

At present, all are showing “AUTO/Sync”. However, the app is still “synchronizing” and may take quite a while before completion. Next update will be: status at completion and after closing/re-opening app.

OK - after re-doing the configuration, it was initially “AUTO/Sync” throughout and remained that way until synchronization was complete. Then after closing and re-opening the app it was then “Manual, 2/…”. Are there any other configuration files that could be deleted to ensure “factory fresh” to validate?

Can you send a screenshot of this?

This is after deleting the library/data file, configuring the folders and allowing synchronization to finish.

This is after quitting the app and restarting.
