A list of identified issues and whishes to improve the user experience with Audirvana

Your ā€œtough loveā€ is noted and appreciated…

I do need to put your comment below into perspective, since the metaphor pertains to how to get help with issues and wishes in the context of improvement and the expectations surrounding subjective interpretations of contextual system behavior… I believe your motivation is well-intended… It appears your concerns are being addressed… To what degree? Hopefully, your assumptions, presumptions and expectations are tempered and reasonable.

The ā€œscratchā€ is a metaphor for a perceived problem with the player by the user… It is not a given that a ā€˜scratch’ completely interrupts the operational flow of the player, the ā€˜scratch’ may create a simple glitch or drop-out in the playback and not stop playback, however, the user may presume this is a fault of the player operation and believe this to be a bug in the design of the player, due to a lack of insight or presumption and/or unawareness of the influences of scratched discs on the playback behavior, which is dependent on the severity and nature of the scratch damage… Metaphoric linear tangental scratches are less consequential than circular scratches… How this applies to appreciable user bugs in Audirvāna and the significance of a perceived bug by any given user, is not my place to determine or arbitrate. I believe the conversation about subjective interpretation and expectation is a valid part of the process. I appreciate your perspectives and intentions.

You need to play the track to see the three dot icon

Ok, please let me know whether the reboot helped or not.

Thanks Antoine,

It seems that the three dots only appears when an audio device is selected and locked.

That’s a bit strange. Thing is that I need to go back to the album after I disconnect the audio device (Either because it does not work, or simply because this is the wrong one).

Any possibility to have somewhere a direct link to the album (via a button in the left menu on the remote for example?). Please!

Thanks

Rebooting the NAS did not improve the situation. I also tried to check if something was captured in the log when the problem appears but I could not find anything (Not even a message saying that a logging session was started today).
