About the Core Player category

Audirvāna can now run on any Linux-based device thanks to the Core player version of both Studio and Origin.

Note that this version does not come with an associated UI; please use our Remote app to connect to it.

I have installed the deb amd64 Studio version onto an old PC with 4 x intel core i3-2120 CPU at 3.3 GHz and 8 Gb RAM, with a Kubuntu 22.04 OS. I can see that the software installed in the /opt/audirvana/studio folder, but I cannot seem to launch the software. It does not show up in the applications launcher, nor as an icon on the taskbar. When I try to connect with Audirvana remote on an Android tablet I get an error message “no computer was recognized”. I have previously used my tablet as a remote to this computer using RealVNC, so I know that both computers are recognized by my Wifi network.

Is there a problem running Studio on Kubuntu?

hello, i am new here, I am tryng to test the audirvana studio on my linuxmint server, but it has no wifi implemented on it, I use it on ethernet only , running roonserver, but I want to test Audirvana sound but I found that there is no gui in the linux version, so I have to acces to it via remote /phone app . I dont understand if only the remote control uses wifi or the streaming itself is running over wifi, wich is not good for sound, pls any help to get an starting point?

You have answered your own question: the remote app (as the word indicates) is nothing but a remote. The software installed on Linux is where the stream is processed.

Hi

I installed Audirivane on my Pi4 as a test, but I don’t know what I did wrong because I can’t preview it on the display, only on my iPhone. Is it possible to preview it on my Pi the same way I can preview it on my iPhone?

No. The version on the Pi is headless, meaning, without an interface. The app on the phone is the interface and control.
