Thanks to you for the detailed process explained but nothing worked !
I followed your « start new recipe » , closed Audirvana and went hunting the Audirvana files ; the result is :
Privileged Helper Tool : I trashed one Audirvana file
Launch Deamons : I trashed one Audirvana file
Application support : No Audirvana file found
Cookies : No Audirvana file found
Preferences : No Audirvana pslist found ; not 2 , not 1 but 0 !
Caches : No Audirvana file found
I restarted Mac , then I downloaded a fresh copy of Audirvana and the situation stayed unchanged with the same screen and a non responsive software.
I don’t know what is next now !.. probably nothing I can do since it seems that the customer service of Audirvana is absent and the user who have found a solution it worked for him did not published what he did successfullly !
I have a customized server on the way for my high-rez multichannel DSD system ; I loved the sound of Audirvana better than anything else compared to other competitors …
BUT IMHO Audirvana stays a true amateur software made by people who perhaps love what they are doing but if they are technicians and good at marketing they are less than real professionals in their attitude . it seems this is a shared conclusion by many and not only my disappointed personal feeling.
Audirvana is a French software and I am French but even I have contacted the community in English I still got no hope that could speed up any useful reply from Audirvana !
I am an aged man now reluctant to pay a lifetime license to Roon because I care only about musicality (I am musician and melomaniac) ; I don’t care much about the rest of all theses bells and whistles which are the strength of Roon.
Unfortunately now it seems there is this no other way to go to have my peace of mind ! . …
