Is there anyway to see an album art/cover big, or full screen?
Sometimes I really like looking at album art, and unless I’m missing something (I hope I am) the biggest I can make it is still basically thumbnail size.

You have two ways for doing this:
Using the zoom slider in the view it is available to make the cover permanently bigger:
Or in the mini-player, by clicking on the icon at the left of the close icon to go full screen:
