Album Art keeps turning on and off

Album Art keeps turning on and off leaving a loading bar were the image was. when the image is off Audirvana freezes up. I’m using a Mac mini Server mid 2011 running MacOS High Siera to Wyred4Sound Dac through USB. This issue is driving me nuts and suggestions for an old fart would be much appreciated.

Hello @Paul_Pavlou,

Can you send me a copy of the “Debug Info”? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>General>Debug Info

Note: By clicking on the Debug Info button, Audirvana automatically copies all its content, all you have to do is paste it in response to this message

I did fail to mention that half my music library is on a Drobo 5N NAS which could be pat of the problem but it did work fine up until two upgrades ago.

Thanks Damien in advance for your help, its much appreciated.

Do you have a lot of playlist in Audirvana?

Hi Damien,

Just one playlist with 58 hi-resolution files which are located on the internal hard drive and the network attached server. (Drobo 5N)

Okay, you will have to remove your Audirvana database, first thing to do is to export your playlist. You then need to export your playlist, close Audirvana and remove your Audirvana database.

To go to it using Finder:

  1. Open its Go menu

  2. Pressing the option (or alt) key, and maintain it pressed. This reveals the Library command in this Go menu.

  3. Click on this Library command

  4. In the Finder window that opens, navigate into Application Support, then Audirvana

  5. You’ll find there the file AudirvanaPlusDatabaseV2.sqlite (This is the one for Audirvana 3.5, the other is for the older version 3).

I just cannot find the data base.

It should be here: /Users/macminiserver/Library/Application Support/Audirvana/AudirvanaPlusDatabaseV2.sqlite

Hi Damien,
I had to use “Easy Find” to find AudirvanaPlusDatabaseV2.sqlite. I deleted this file and have reloaded the links to rebuild the Audirvana Library. It seems to be ok now, after allowing 24 hours to rebuild it self.
Thanks for your assistance and patients.
Kind regards
Paul

Now that is solved, don’t stop there…

Do those three steps in the preferences of Audirvana to get better health for your database…
like in my picture…

Then, after all 3 steps done, close Audirvana and copy the .sqlite file (that include all your tagging and playlists) and put it somewhere on your computer in a folder call like (nov 23, 2020) or whatever you like… now you have a perfect backup…

i, myself copy that .sqlite file mostly everyday or two days… you never know when Audirvana might screw it  like that, you can just close Audirvana and put back at the same place to replace your database by your backup and reopen Audirvana and all will be good as the date you put your backup was saved… with a sync after that, it will add all new albums since your backup, all tags you have done in between will follow, except the numbers of played songs that was done in between, if you care for that
